Blake Lewis was born in Redmond, WA July 21, 1981. He is an only child who started singing around the age of 5. He began singing in the Columbia Boys Choir when he started junior high and toured Europe with them. He participated in choir at Kenmore Junior High and Inglemoor High School. He also was in several plays and musicals in high school. During his senior year of high school he was turned onto beat boxing and has been hooked ever since. He was inspired by Matt Selby of the group m-pact He has won several local beat boxing competitions. After high school he began performing all around the Pacific Northwest. If he wasn’t currently on American Idol he would still be performing and working on his solo album.
