Blake: I
was doing impersonations and cartoon voices when I was a little kid, but I
started beat boxing when I was 17 years old. I was really inspired by a
member of MPact, Matt Selby. He got me started.

Blake: I
don't have a certain type, but I like girls who have a great sense of humor,
are independent, are down to earth, and of course, love music! My last couple of girlfriends were brunettes. Regardless, I
think women are the most beautiful creatures ever.

1.What is your favorite food?
Blake: My
favorite type of food is Cuban. My favorite foods are pizza, hot chocolate, and chocolate chip cookies. All healthy
foods – haha!
2.When is your birthday?
Blake: My
birthday is July 21, 1981
3.Are you into musicals/Broadway and if so what's your favorite?
Blake: I
did a couple musicals in high school (Anything Goes & Crazy For You). My favorite are The
Nightmare Before Christmas and Team America (do they count?).

Blake: My favorite decade of music is the 80's. I haven't really seen much of Idol in the past (I don't watch much TV), but I really like Katherine McPhee's voice.

perfect date would be going somewhere to see live music where the music is
mellow enough where we can talk. If I'm lucky, maybe

experience with my ex-girlfriend called, Four Letter Word.

mom is an ex-rocker who still sings and plays guitar, my dad is the main
project manager for a construction company in Seattle and is the hardest
working person I know! I don't have any brothers or sisters. I

mom got me into music since she was always singing from the time I was in her
womb. I don't have a favorite genre of music; I like almost
anything. Some of my favorites are electronic, good pop music, jazz,

and got into beat boxing because of Matt Selby from MPact.

yourself back on track?
Blake: I
think every musician goes through that. I try not to focus on a bad
performance, etc but rather move forward and look to other musicians for
inspiration.

Question: What made you decide to audition for American Idol?
Blake: It
was really on a whim... I had missed registration but my friend called me
that night and told to come and audition with him the following day.

I've always had a love for music since I was a little kid, so doing it as an
adult was a natural progression. My role models are my parents.

quit by day job in August to pursue music full time. I've been working on
my album for a while and hope to finish it soon.
